About the role We're looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our National Three Waters Team. This role is located in our Auckland office however other locations can be considered too. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide technical expertise, project management and deliver solutions to the local and wider national team, while maintaining direct relationships with our existing clients and expanding our client base through your established networks.
  • Investigation, planning and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Provide a lead role on projects involving stormwater management plans, hydraulic modelling, engineering design, and other flood management and network projects.
  • Play a key role in shaping better infrastructure for a diverse range of public and private clients across Aotearoa.
Your skills and experience
  • 5+ years work experience in related roles.
  • Experience in delivering stormwater projects: skills in Water Sensitive/Low Impact Design, hydraulic modelling, preparing Catchment/Stormwater Management Plans, or working in Three Waters/Infrastructure space are a bonus.
  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and design of pipe and surface networks, or flood control systems.
  • Proven experience in client relationship management and identification of opportunities is advantageous.
  • Skills using or interpreting results with software such as InfoWorks ICM, MIKE DHI, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW and GIS.
  • Enthusiastic about sustainability, resilience and green infrastructure.
  • Tertiary qualified with a relevant degree such as a Bachelor of Engineering.
