We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with excellent relationship and people skills to join our high-performing Referral Commercial Trading team as a Senior Property Referral Underwriter to support our broker channel. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of referral underwriting experience within commercial property lines products and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage well with internal stakeholders. Working closely with the Business Development Managers & Commercial Underwriters, you’ll review and underwrite referral property business and accounts of complex and technical difficulty. Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for:
- Underwriting new property business, renewals, and referrals in a timely and professional manner within Ando underwriting parameters and service standards.
- Working in conjunction with the Team where appropriate to identify opportunities for improvement, problem-solving & synergies in business.
- Being instrumental in process improvement.
- Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims.
- Achieving high levels of quote conversion whilst maintaining excellent turnaround times.
- Working constructively with all areas of underwriting to find agreeable solutions aligned with portfolio strategy.
