Intelligence Analyst - Transnational Organised Crime (TNOC)
- Based in Wellington CBD
- Band G
- Office of Constable / Police Employee
- Fixed Term 24 months
- Assist the development of TNOC Intelligence products
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
- Use analytic expertise and critical thinking to conduct analysis of complex TNOC problems
- Develop and maintain a wide range of multi-agency professional relationships
- Undertake multi-agency collection activities selecting varied and appropriate sources and agencies.
- Champion diverse worldviews, different perspectives, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, identifying opportunities to reflect these in Intelligence products.
- Previous experience in an analytical role and strategic intelligence experience is desirable
- Knowledge and experience of best practice Intelligence processes
- Quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills and analysis
- A positive and engaged work-ethic and mindset
- The ability to manage competing demands and deliver quality products within strict timeframes
- Availability for a 2-year appointment and an understanding of TNOC, key actors, and methodologies is desirable.
- Completed the Basic Intelligence Course (BIC) or equivalent.
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining a National Security clearance at Top-Secret level.
- This role is Wellington based but may provide the flexibility to work remotely.
- Interested internal and secondee applicants must obtain approval to apply from their Supervisor. This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business.
- A Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 10 years, or
- A citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years : Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.
