Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is eager to start or further their career in the utilities industry. As a Waste Treatment / Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our water treatment plant, ensuring the safety and quality of our water supply. This position requires excellent organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operation of the water treatment plant, ensuring all processes are carried out safely and efficiently. Plant Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Inspection Duties: Conduct regular inspections of wastewater ponds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the plant grounds to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications

Licensing: A full Class 2 driver’s license is required. Experience: Preferably, you will have experience with water treatment plants and the reticulation of water and wastewater systems. A maintenance engineering background would be needed for this role as the successful applicant would be moving between these 2 roles as and when required.

On-Call Responsibilities: This role involves being on-call at times as part of a rotating roster, so flexibility is essential.
