We are seeking an Air Content & Distribution Manager for our Technical Supply team. This role is responsible for managing and optimising the company's air content distribution channels. This role involves ensuring the availability and accuracy of air travel information across various platforms, maintaining relationships with airline partners, and leveraging technology to enhance content distribution and booking processes. The specialist will play a critical role in enhancing the customer experience by providing comprehensive and accurate air travel options. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Management:
    • Oversee the acquisition, integration, and maintenance of air travel content from multiple sources, including airlines, global distribution systems (GDS), and direct connect channels.
    • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of air content across all distribution platforms.
    • Monitor and manage the display of air content to ensure it meets the company’s quality standards and customer needs.
  2. Distribution Optimization:
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimise the distribution of air content across various channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs), metasearch engines, and the company’s booking platform.
    • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance the functionality and performance of air content distribution systems.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to content distribution, including data discrepancies and system integration problems.
  3. Partnership Management:
    • Maintain strong relationships with airline partners, GDS providers, and other content suppliers.
    • Oversee the negotiation of agreements with content suppliers, to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
    • Manage and track revenues per contract against agreed KPIs
    • Collaborate with partners to enhance content quality and address any operational challenges.
  4. Technology and Innovation:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in air content distribution.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies, such as NDC (New Distribution Capability), to improve content distribution and booking processes.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to implement innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience.
  5. Performance Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyse the performance of air content distribution channels to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Generate reports and provide insights to senior management on the effectiveness of air content strategies and initiatives.
    • Use data-driven approaches to optimise content distribution and achieve business goals.
  6. Customer Focus:
    • Ensure that air content distribution strategies align with the company’s commitment to providing excellent customer service.
    • Address customer feedback and work with relevant teams to improve the availability and accuracy of air travel information.
    • Support customer service teams in resolving complex issues related to air content and bookings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Travel and Tourism, Business, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in air content management, distribution, and partnership management within the travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of global distribution systems (GDS), direct connect technologies, and air travel booking platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to assess performance and drive improvements.
  • Knowledge of NDC and other emerging technologies in air content distribution is highly desirable.
