Accounts Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for Group financial reporting including consolidation, Bursa Announcement reports, and financial statements.
2. Supervise timely financial closing of subsidiaries and perform financial analysis on variances.
3. Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting and finance in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, relevant standards, laws, and regulations.
4. Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations.
5. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, ensuring clear and concise communication of key financial metrics.
6. Manage corporate communication channels and prepare documentation related to banks or financial institutions.
7. Oversee cash flow by tracking transactions, reviewing internal reports, and providing cash flow forecasts to management.
8. Develop and prepare strategic financial plans, including risk minimization and opportunity forecasting for management decision-making.
9. Prepare periodic financial performance reports against budgets for Senior Management.
10. Work closely with the management team to present business cases and analysis findings.
11. Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations as necessary.
12. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, or other parties including regulatory bodies on accounting or financing matters.
13. Assist in any ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a professional qualification (MIA / ACCA / CPA).
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience or at least 2 years of managerial experience.
3. Experience in the audit of listed companies or involvement in group reporting of listed companies.
4. Excellent knowledge and proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial management, and accounting principles and procedures.
5. Ability to use financial data to influence decision-making.
6. Ability to work proactively and reliably, both independently and as part of a team.
7. Advanced experience in accounting and financial systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel at an advanced level, PowerPoint, etc.).
8. Ability to work under a fast-paced environment with time constraints while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
9. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop reports, briefing documents, and negotiate with external stakeholders.
10. Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with staff from other functional departments including marketing and procurement.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
12. Excellent written and spoken English.
