Automation Test Specialist

We are looking for a new team member to join our IT team as our Automation Test Specialist. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and who is passionate about leading continuous improvement of our testing. You have strong communication skills with the special ability to translate complex topics into plain language that is easily understood by our non-tech focused teams. This is a technical role within the IT team and is responsible for advancing the software testing capabilities. The role is focused on testing TR in-house applications and external services utilised by TR Group. You will work closely with our business stakeholders to identify, build and manage quality testing services across the organisation. About the role:
- Actively engage with stakeholders to identify and analyse valuable information which enables quality testing outcomes - creating great relationships along the way
- Participate in technology team planning, development, and release cycles
- Grow testing knowledge across the TR Group technology team and lead and manage testing projects
- Analyse how testing can be applied to business applications
- Produce and maintain documentation that details testing frameworks and tools across the business
- Provide recommendations to the technology team for issues discovered in business applications during testing
- Provide analysis and advice on performance testing results
- Work with Microsoft SQL and associated database services across the organisation from a testing perspective
- Develop reports to clearly show the testing outcomes for the business over time
- Manage testing source code across the business
- Create test plans for each business application
- Automate testing as part of the TR Group’s implementation of CI/CD processes
- Produce and maintain high quality documentation for all test plans
- Have experience in Agile environments
- Have strong experience with capturing user stories and business processes in deep detail
- Have 2+ years working with tools such as Selenium and Cypress on languages such as C#, .NET
- Be familiar with GIT
- Have experience with automation tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or Octopus
- Possess a good understanding of Docker and containerization
- Have experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud based IAAS solutions
