Department DIGITAL CENTER OF EXCELLENCE INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Title HEAD, DATA MANAGEMENT (Digital Technology)
Primary Purpose of Job
To establish the data management team. Creating the data services and practices in collaboration with the business to capture data driven value from the digital initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security.
1. Manage the skilled data team to build robust data services.
2. Defines and develops data strategy, including architecture, engineering and platforms, ensuring alignment with the business and digital strategies.
3. Create the data governance framework and lead its maturity, including data ownership, access controls, data quality standards, and security policies.
4. Lead the implementation and monitoring of data operations (data pipeline, automation, data models, cataloging etc…) to enable digital and data analytics.
5. Accountable for financial management related to Data Management, including setting the annual budget, quality of reporting and spend oversight.
6. Champion data-driven culture where data is valued and utilization for information decision making across the businesses.
7. Deliver use cases, with measurable created value, with the right prioritization on resource allocations.
Education
• A degree in Statistics, Engineering, or a technology related field, demonstrating strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Oil & Gas, Energy Management, or Petroleum Engineering is highly desirable.
Experience & Skills
• 15 years' experience within the Energy industry.
• 8 Years of proven experience in data management within the energy sector. • Strong understanding of Upstream and Downstream Data requirements.
• Strong Knowledge of Database systems, BI Technologies, Applications Architecture, Information Security Principles.
• Lead the team for the implementation and monitoring of data operations (Data platform, data pipeline, automation, data models, cataloging etc.) to enable digital and data analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
• Strategic partnership development with top data service providers.
