Part Qualified Accountant Location: Clondalkin, Dublin 22 Job Type: Permanent Office Based Role My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Technician / Part Qualified Accountant on a permanent basis. Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
  • Experience of SAP would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing organisation would also be a distinct advantage.
  • Candidates must have strong Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This is a multi-functional role, and the overall purpose of the role is to act as an assistant to the Regional Controller enabling production of timely and accurate management accounts and to deputise when necessary.
  • You will be involved in the day-to-day activities involving purchasing and accounts payable, preparation of intrastat and VAT returns, preparation of accruals, prepayments, stock and ad hoc journals on a monthly basis to enable preparation of the monthly accounts.
  • On a weekly/monthly basis prepare reports for Head Office and senior management.
  • Assist the Regional Controller with both internal and external audit and provide cover for receivables and payroll when required.

Key Skills:

  • Candidates should be part qualified or finalist working towards a recognized accountancy qualification.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, possess strong commercial focus and capable of working unsupervised.
  • Previous industry or practice experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in SAP accounting is desirable.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to demonstrate a positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic style.
  • Confident in delivering high quality accurate output to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise work in a busy environment.
  • An excellent team player.
  • Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements and support the business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills – particularly in Excel.
