Full Stack Engineer

Country/Region: IE Location: Dublin, IE, D02 AE12 About us: We are currently looking for skilled people that want to have an impact with their work, to join a recently formed, well-resourced ZF Aftermarket Product Engineering team in our existing Dublin office. The team is working to deliver a green field fleet management product in the light vehicle space currently in the final stages of preparing to go-to market. The team is focused on bringing this new small business platform from concept to production through a deeply collaborative effort between our engineering, UX, Product, and Data members. The team will leverage the company's existing knowledge of both the industry and technologies to create a digital product that will increase convenience and peace of mind in fleet management for non-logistics fleet owners. This is a unique opportunity to have an early and significant impact on shaping both the new engineering organization and product while having the security of being part of one of the world's largest automotive suppliers. To strengthen and expand the Dublin team, we are looking for a: Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d) You are part of an agile highly skilled, innovative, and motivated development team working in an agile environment to quickly identify areas of the aftermarket industry that can be enhanced by digital solutions. You will work closely with the product team using cutting-edge technologies in an AWS cloud environment utilizing serverless concepts to build highly scalable cost-efficient services. The front-end stack of our current project includes React, Typescript, Storybook, WebSocket, Mapbox, React-Query, Chakra-UI, and Vite. Our backend development stack is serverless first, utilizing NodeJS, Lambda, DynamoDB, IOT Core, API Gateway to create robust and reusable microservices in an event-driven architecture.
  • Working with the Product team to build features from proof of concept to production for ZF’s product catalog
  • Continuous improvement in developing, maintaining & enhancing server-side applications
  • Design and develop robust, high-quality sustainable code
  • Explore and adapt to new technologies as required
  • Engage with Software Development methodologies such as Scrum/ Kanban to collaborate, deliver and report during the sprint
Your profile:
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent
  • 4+ Years of software development working in both front and backend technologies and stacks.
  • Experience with ES6 / Typescript
  • Knowledge of React optimization techniques and patterns
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud architecture, including containers
  • Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
  • Must have a passion for technology with an understanding of cloud technologies
