Our mission is to empower our audience with the knowledge they need to make informed financial decisions, through a blend of in-depth articles and engaging video content. Role Overview: We are seeking experienced Financial Editors and Journalists to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in covering personal finance, with the ability to create compelling content across both text and video formats. You will be responsible for producing high-quality content that resonates with our audience, helping them navigate the complexities of personal finance in an ever-changing economic landscape. You will be part of a pioneering team that’s shaping the future of financial journalism in India, working in a fast-paced, invigorating environment with limitless opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities: * Research, write, and edit articles on a wide range of personal finance topics, including but not limited to savings, investments, taxes, insurance, retirement planning, and financial technology. * Produce and manage video content, including scriptwriting, on-camera appearances, and video editing, to deliver engaging and informative financial news and analysis. * Churn content that has a real impact on the financial well-being of millions. * Monitor and analyze financial markets and global economic trends, providing timely updates and insights relevant to the Indian audience. * Work within an editorial team to. plan and execute content strategies that align with Republic’s mission and goals. * Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in personal finance and digital media to ensure content is current, accurate, and competitive. * Engage with the audience through social media to foster a community of informed financial decision-makers. * Ensure all content meets the editorial standards and adheres to legal and ethical guidelines. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, Finance, Economics, or a related field. * 3-7 years of experience in financial journalism, with a strong focus on personal finance. * Demonstrated expertise in producing content for digital platforms, including both text and video. * Strong understanding of the Indian financial landscape, with the ability to contextualize global financial events for an Indian audience. * Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. * Proficiency in video production tools and awareness of editing softwares. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for educating and informing the public on personal finance matters.
