The project Our client is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centers in safety-critical environments. The client specializes in developing and distributing 'Control Center Solutions' for the Air Traffic Management and Public Safety & Transport sectors. We seek a German speaker Senior System Engineer "” to become a vital part of our client's team. As the technical owner and developer of the Monitoring Solutions, you will develop, enhance, and maintain the solutions. Operating in a safety-critical domain, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of the solution. As a System Engineer developing, you will join a dedicated team of professionals to actively contribute to   the NIS Solutions (Network and IT Solutions), where the team is developing cutting-edge IT Solutions with a strong emphasis on high availability. We are dedicated to selecting and integrating the best IT products on the market to support products and projects, ensuring their ongoing success. The preferred scale of work : full-time Start date: asap, long-term cooperation Type of work: 100% remote Project methodology:  SCRUM, 2 weeks-long sprint Technologies and tools used in the project: Ansible/Python/Bash Bitbucket/Git/Jenkins/Maven Kubernetes/Azure/OpenShift Docker/Podman Jira/Confluence/JAMA OpenSearch Zabbix Nessus/Blackduck

Job Requirements

Your tasks · Participate in design and documentation activities · Build new features, and containers, automate deployment · Provide dashboards, templates, scripts, etc. · Benchmarking and performance/security improvements · Prepare user documentation and (video) training · Provide 3rd level support (bug fixing, troubleshooting) What we expect from you · Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Engineer/Developer with a strong focus on infrastructure monitoring/observability Strong  German is mandatory, both written and spoken. · Deep hands-on skills with the technologies and tools mentioned above · Proficient in the scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash · Debugging and root cause analysis skills · Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a Scrum Team · Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, min. B2 level Nice to have · Also experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)· Knowledge in networking (switching/routing) We look forward to receiving your application!
