The major objective of this position is to support academic excellence across the Academic Division. This includes restructuring and ensuring SAIT's programs are of high quality and meet the diverse needs of learners and industry. The AVP-TL is currently accountable for the Centre for Academic Development + Innovation (Cadi) and the Centre for Applied Education Innovation (CAEI). Within these two areas are six functions: academic technologies, faculty development, quality assurance, scholarly activity, course development, and program development. This position works closely with the school deans, directors, and other stakeholders across SAIT to support and pursue SAIT's vision of being a global leader in applied education.As the ideal candidate will you bring 10 years' directly related experience in teaching and learning management with 5 years' experience in a senior-level leadership position and a demonstrated ability to lead change through a proactive and strategic approach. You are an innovative big-picture thinker; able to synthesize the work of the different divisions and develop and articulate a strategic vision, able to inspire and engage a wide range of people in the evolution of SAIT's vision and develop implementation strategies for the goals that support that vision.
