A Quality Specialist in the supply chain field in the UAE is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet or exceed the established quality standards. Their primary objective is to maintain and improve the overall quality and reliability of the supply chain processes, including procurement, production, transportation, and distribution.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of suppliers, vendors, and production facilities to assess quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and customer service, to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze and evaluate supplier performance and quality metrics, including product specifications, defect rates, and on-time delivery, and provide recommendations for supplier selection and improvement.
Manage and maintain a comprehensive quality management system, including documentation control, quality records, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in quality management, preferably in the supply chain or logistics industry.
Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and best practices, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
