The diagnostic services are supported by advanced, state-of-the-art technologies like 3T MRI, 640 slice CT, Mammography, Bone density, Nuclear Imaging, Interventional services, general x-rays, etc. The department is dedicated to patient services and imaging excellence through highest professional and technological standards. The department maintains state-of-the-art technology imaging services to provide our physicians and patients with the most accurate, timely and informative results. ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:provide effective leadership to the radiology team, guiding and motivating staff to achieve departmental goals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.develop smart, short term and medium-term plans, targets, objectives, and strategies aligned with the Hospital's vision.oversee the day-to-day operations of radiology department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintain quality standards.collaborate with the administration and finance departments to develop and manage the radiology budget. Liaison with hospital stakeholders for infrastructure development under the departmental Chair's guidance.implement and monitor quality assurance programs to uphold the accuracy and reliability of radiological procedures and reports. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and actively participate in relevant performance improvement initiatives.support in renewal of physician licenses, ensure faculty and staff documents meet JCIA standards, implement quality management techniques, update Quality Manual, and represent department in quality and administrative forums.stay abreast of the latest developments in radiology technology and recommend the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment to enhance diagnostic capabilities and patient care.provide support to departmental Chair in calculating Residency and Fellowship expansion needs, providing administrative support, and handling quality assurance and compliance data.manage complaints, conduct RCAs, review patient satisfaction index, develop retaining strategy for star performers, prepare staffing plans, recruite qualified staff, provide continuous feedback, and conducting performance appraisals of staff.provide training opportunities and support staff development to ensure the team remains competent and up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.ensure the highest standard of patient care by overseeing the radiology team's adherence to safety protocols, patient comfort, and ethical practices.maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on departmental performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics for the hospital's management.Requirements You should have: Master's degree in business administration/health administration or equivalent from a reputed University. At least 10 years of relevant experience including 4 to 5 years in a supervisory role. strong knowledge of radiology procedures, techniques, and imaging equipment. familiarity with regulatory guidelines and quality assurance practices related to radiology. excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team. commitment to patient care, safety, and ethical standards. Knowledge of resource management including financial management.
