Job details
Completing the patients'intake process, taking patients' histories, and preparingand educating patients about the imagingprocedure.Reviewing patients' chartsand Doctors' notes before the examination, and maintainingpatients' records during and afterprocedures.Preparing radiopharmaceuticals forcontrast in the diagnostic images.Positioningpatients and equipment to capture the correct area and produceclear images.Monitoring patients and ensuringtheir safety during imagingprocedures.Calibrating the equipment to ensureclear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified bythe Doctor.Logging and organizing imageresults, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of theradiograph results, and consulting with Radiologists to determineif other images need to be taken.Ensuring theproper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintainingradiographic equipment, and reporting any equipmentfailures.Coordinating with the radiologydepartment to schedule and complete radiographicprocedures.Maintaining up to date knowledge ofcurrent radiology practices.
