Description:
The Head of School of Textiles and Design will be responsible for driving the department's operational strategy and overseeing key administrative processes to ensure increased growth and academic success.
Responsibilities:
Hiring, developing, and inspiring the design team, or selecting a design team from existing company employees.
Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and the design elements they want.
Interpreting abstract business concepts and client briefs and turning them into creative ideas.
Developing strategic design plans with projected timelines and budgets.
Creating storyboards and mockups for clients and the design team to visualize the completed project.
Requirements:
Successful track record of teaching, research, and leadership related to design and design-focused disciplines required
Demonstrated ability to lead both teaching and research operations across the department required
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills required
