- Under the direction of the Manager, performs a wide variety of duties to provide diagnostic Radiologic services to hospital patients, both in-patient and out-patient, in accordance with physicians orders.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:- Graduation from an AHA approved school of Radiologic technology.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Must be licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health/Radiation Control Program.
- CPR certification required.
- Requires two years directly related student experience to become proficient in all duties performed
- Ability to manage physically aggressive patients
- Ability to transport patients from wheelchair or patient slide board to table
- Ability to move portable x-ray machine to examination site
- Ability to lift 30-35 pounds with assistance using good mechanical body position
- Ability to wear protective lead aprons and lead gloves during examinations
- Ability to perform tasks for a long period of time, i.e. special procedures
- Manual dexterity to operate radiographic equipment
