Over time the group has expanded its service offering across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Australia, the United States, Canada, China, and JapanAbout the role - Finance and Accounts Consultant (Australia)The position of the Finance and Accounts Consultant (Australia) will report to the Financial Controller in our Greenstaff Australia Business Unit and will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely financials to our key stakeholders, and to provide financial management.Responsibilities:Financial Close: Timely and accurate closing of Books for the business unit; Commentaries on VariancesThis includes managing and preparing month end reports related to accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and financials (income statement, balance sheet, trial balance etc.,)Preparation of Management accountsBalance Sheet Review and ReconciliationOverall responsibility for financial processes, and timely reporting of accurate data in finance, accounting, payroll, and credit control including posting of journals and reviewing and reconciling general and subsidiary ledgers.Working alongside payroll team in calculating Monthly commission for Sales staff and lodgement of payroll tax.Reporting: Identifying and providing quality reports that add benefit to ICG, including:Weekly Gross Profit reconciliation and reportWeekly Cash Flow ForecastWeekly Aged Debtor Report circulation to managementTimely monthly reconciliation and lodgement of PAYG, SUPER, GSTAssist with preparation and submission of the Corporate Tax Return and Financial Statements in conjunction with the FC. Includes coordination with Tax consultant for tax filing.Audit: Timely responses provided to verifiers and auditors, both internal and externalAssist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Assist in the Administration of insurances, including workers compensation and general insurances in conjunction with the FC.Other Ad hoc work, i.e., Data for Board's report and resolution of any other queries of Global Finance teamSupporting and adhering to business compliance related mattersWorking with other teams in the area to share knowledge and best practices.Ad-hoc work during the month for specific issues that are identified by the Finance Controller-Australia. For example, further detailed and deeper analysis of results, problem identification and resolution.Key deliverables:Managing the monthly accounting results of the business unit through:Ensuring the integrity of the monthly results.To assist in the validation and processing of journals as required, in an accurate and timely manner to achieve month end close.Manage the provision of a meaningful and timely first level analysis of daily results to help explain Business Unit financial performance and assist in subsequent identification of root cause and recommend solutions.Manage the provision of accurate, timely, fit for purpose information on all aspects of financial performance through production of regular monthly customer specified reports.Maintaining adequate backups ensuring data integrity and information management.Qualifications:Graduate in Commerce or a Professional Qualification (CA/CWA/MBA)Detailed and strong background in doing month-end closing activities, Balance Sheet review and reconciliation and preparation of Management accounts.Possess operational knowledge of banking, cash forecasting, tax, audit, payroll, VAT/GST, tax etc.Proficiency in working with MS Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other accounting softwarePrevious experience with Navision is an advantage.Previous experience in a high volume, low value transactional finance environment is preferred.Previous experience in a staffing and recruitment business is highly advantageous.Prior experience in managing senior stakeholders.Interpersonal skills to be able to work within a larger team.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.Able to work independently.Ability to work accurately to tight timeframes.
