That's because whether it's sourcing, engineering, design, marketing, customer service or any of our teams, our work is always new, challenging, and up-to-the-minute.Role will include:Study, research and plan various styles of furniture design.Design, production drawings, production feasibility check and costing check. Coordinate with the 3d team and catalogue team to get it up and running.Find ways to improve furniture items already manufactured.Stay informed about design trends and developmentsSelect suitable materials, which might include wood, textiles.Generate sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes.Use software packages such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks and Photoshop.Liaise with craftsmen or production department staff (such as production managers, marketing staff and design engineers) about the process of construction or manufacture.Evaluate issues such as pricing and fixing costs, fashion, purchasing, safety, materials and manufacturing methods and techniques.Use various tools to complete projects from raw materials to finished furniture items.Organize plans and schedules with respect to the availability of resources.Desired Skills and Functional Experience:Experience in Furniture Industry.Consumer backed thinking.High Levels of Ownership and Drive.Willingness to learn rapidly + Ability to consistently make things better.Clear and articulate communication akin to a person with clarity of thought.Extremely hard-working and committed to the cause / values / vision of UL.Love for beautiful homes, and all things beautiful; a love for aesthetics.Collaboration and Team Management skills.Values of UL that will be Key to Excelling in this Role:C- Customer ObsessionH- Honesty and TransparencyA- Action OrientationS- Stepping UpE- Efficiency & Excellence.
