We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior FP&A Analyst to join our Amsterdam team. As a pivotal member you'll be primarily responsible for owning the reporting and planning for the Capital Expenditure, focused on major construction projects, smaller repairs and its impact on leasing activity. You will make a real impact in optimizing and implementing systems and processes in our pan-European organization. You will be challenged to work towards best-in-class reporting standards, overseeing a portfolio of over 1,800 assets.As a Senior Analyst, you will partner closely with the business management teams and will need to develop a good relationship with wider finance functions and local Asset Management to drive the achievement of financial targets. We'll also equip you with the best technology package that helps you keep in touch, wherever you are.What you'll doPartner with FP&A team and the supporting functions (Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Property Management, Investment accounting etc.) to prepare and track asset performance against budget and past performance.Analyze performance versus business plan, including performance risks and opportunities with a focus on specific countries, markets, and assetsSpearhead creating a long term capital plan for the portfolio across 11 jurisdictions, have real influence over the extended reporting initiativesTake a proactive role in bridging the capital expenditures and its impact over the leasing business including returns on investment and completion analysis, providing and offering value adding, insightful financial analysisDeveloping and enhancing all management reporting as it related to Capital Expenditures and support ad-hoc presentation and management as well as investor presentations as neededLeveraging appropriate technology and systems (Datawarehouse, Yardi Job Cost, Power BI), to champion the collection, organization, quality and analysis of data Assist & execute on planning and forecasting cycles liaising with all cross-country teams accordingly Partake in relentless pursuit of process enhancement initiatives, refining budgeting reporting processes through adept data handling and a nuanced understanding of forecasting tools Guide, mentor and manage more junior team members and interns.What you will bringYour education. You have a degree in Accounting, Finance or Real estate and at least five years' relevant professional experience. Ideally, you'll also have some previous exposure to IT functions.Your industry credentials. You understand the real estate industry and the main business processes and language of commercial leasing, investment, development and valuation.Strong computer literacy. You are experienced with IT applications, Microsoft Excel, Power Pivot, Power BI, Power Query (VBA is also desirable).Your head for data. You have experience in handling large data sets and preparing meaningful analysis, including identifying and extrapolating errors in the data.Your sharp and rigorous attention to detail. Your work is always high-quality and accurate.Your ability to work independently. You are happy to flex your responsibilities when you see something that needs done and can effectively manage time and priorities within a fast-moving environment. You are also great in a team, with a can-do attitude and the ability to inspire others.Your excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. You are confident in forming and maintaining strong professional relationships with senior members of the team and leadership.A great team attitude. You will be working across diverse teams including Finance, Asset management, and IT.
