Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate all data related activities conducted for various studies at the Masiphumelele Research Office.

Job Responsibilities:

Design robust M&E framework and data collection tools for the project

Working with monitors to resolve any and all outstanding queries

Monitoring active reports regarding enrolment and retention of participants

Train and support field-based data collection staff members

Provide oversite for research data collection for studies at Masi

Ensure training of and optimal implementation of all components of project data management

Provide oversite for web-based system for wireless electronic monitoring of service uptake data and a web and tablet-based system for collecting data

Job Requirements:

Knowledge of research documentation standards

Strong verbal and written communication

At least 2-3 years' experience in data quality management

At least 2-3 year's monitoring and evaluation experience

Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision

Grade 12 with undergraduate Degree in Medical, Scientific, Biological, Statistical, Computer science, or related field

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills

Must be proficient in MS Excel, and other browser-based metadata Electronic data capture (EDC) software (e.g. REDCap)

A minimum of 1 year of supervisory and staff management

Attention to detail

At least 2-3 years' experience running databases and resolving data queries
