Senior Company Secretary - International Mining Company - Sandton

Overview Our client is a large mining concern with mining activities in various sectors and provinces as well as internationally. Their Secretariat require the services of a seasoned Company Secretary in their Corporate Office in Sandton. This is a large, listed group and the position is within one of the subsidiaries, however, the entity is quite complex and will require a Governance professional with solid training and qualifications as well as experience with Listed Entities and complex Joint Ventures. Duties & Responsibilities Some of the functions will include: Entity ManagementMining Regulatory ProcessesManaging the Statutory CalendarCompliance with the Companies ActCompliance with King IVMinutes and Resolutions on Diligence software Desired Experience & Qualification LLB or CIS or both. (ACIS)5+ years experience in company secretarial or governance workExperience with King IVExperienced in the Companies ActUnderstand the risks and liabilities of non-compliance in the governance space.Some mining industry experience would be beneficial, but is not required.Experience with Listed Companies and Groups with multiple subsidiaries.This role is corporate and in a busy environment.Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Confidence and professionalismExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail.Responsibility and accountabilityExcellent skills on DILIGENCE Governance software or similar Salary R1 400 000 Brought to you by AGC Specialist Recruitment
