We do this by:Growing a sustainable and resilient NSW economyStimulating the creation and growth of innovation intensive businesses in target sectorsLeveraging NSW's international network to showcase NSW in priority markets and help build export capabilityInvestment NSW is seeking to appoint a strategic and commercially astute individual as the Trade and Investment Commissioner (TIC) India and the Middle East. Based in Mumbai and overseeing operations in India and the Middle East the TIC, India & ME is the NSW Government's senior representative driving greater engagement and enhanced economic opportunities between NSW and the region. The TIC, India & ME is expected to deliver commercial outcomes for NSW by facilitating inwards investment, assisting NSW businesses to export, and identifying and nurturing strategic commercial and institutional relationships. The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be a senior and experienced commercially astute leader who can represent NSW's whole-of-government strategic interests across the region and brings to the role a deep familiarity of Australia, India and the Middle East. The candidate will possess:A strong understanding of the India and Middle East markets Detailed knowledge of NSW's domestic priorities and capabilities Experience working collaboratively across government and with industry to facilitate trade and investment opportunities for NSWA record of leading geographically diverse teamsThe ability to implement strategy to ensure positive client outcomesOutstanding communication skills Profiling NSW's economic and business credentials across the region, including developing networks of C-Suite executives, business groups, and commercial and government stakeholders to capture commercial outcomes for NSW is essential for this role.
