Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Repair and Maintenance Executive to oversee the upkeep and servicing of our company's fleet of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive maintenance, repair, and management, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our vehicles. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage a team of technicians and ensure that our fleet remains in optimal condition.Responsibilities:Maintenance Management: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the regular servicing and upkeep of the entire fleet.Repair Oversight: Coordinate and supervise the repair activities for all company vehicles, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions to any mechanical issues.Team Leadership: Manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for vehicle maintenance and repair activities.Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repair activities, optimizing costs while maintaining high standards of quality.Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services and parts.Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards governing vehicle maintenance and operation.Performance Monitoring: Implement systems to track and monitor fleet performance, including fuel efficiency, downtime, and maintenance costs, and use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Reporting: Generate regular reports on fleet maintenance activities, performance metrics, and budgetary expenditures for management review.Emergency Response: Develop contingency plans and protocols to address emergency repair situations and minimize disruption to operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in fleet maintenance and repair management, with at least (X) years in a supervisory or leadership role.Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components, with expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.Proficiency in budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor management.Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards governing fleet operations.Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to improve fleet performance and efficiency.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
