A leading pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for an Area Sales Manager to manage their Respiratory and Dermatology team in the Western Cape and Free State regions.Job PurposeResponsible for planning, implementing, directing sales activities in order to achieve the sales objectives of the company within the region.Assume responsibility and leadership for the Regional team.Implement the sales strategy.Seek opportunities for growth in the region.Use established relationships and build new networks to grow the company's presence in the regionKey Job Functions:Sales ManagementCustomer/Client RelationshipsBudget ManagementStrategic InputLeadershipAppoint, retain, coach, manage and inspire sales representatives to achieve sales targetsCoordinate, manage and oversee divisional sales budget with monthly forecastingSetting individual sales targets in accordance to the divisional budget for each respective SRAMonthly/weekly sales reports and updates to both senior management and sales reps to track sales performanceStrategic planning to realign sales focus continuously to ensure sales targets are metStreamlining and maintaining the sales function, including spending time in field with Consumer/ Pharmacy Representative and Dr Detailing representative, ensuring proactive execution of identified strategies for each SRAOversee and manage all infield implementation of POS/ marketing messages in accordance with the marketing/ sales strategy of the companyKey account Management: Visiting and liaising with identified target clients that are crucial to the performance of the Company, including regular visits to Wholesalers & Buying groups to ensure sustained and profitable relationshipsInitiating and implementation of a CRM (electronic customer relation management system)Liaising with the National Sales Manager with respect to the effective exploitation of the various business opportunities in designated areasResponsible for developing, compiling and maintaining company client databaseSubmit regular reports to National Sales Manager (Field and sales report)Monitor and control sales representative's expensesMonitor and control sales representative's incentives - being implemented by marketingManage both divisions - Pharmacy and Dr Detailing representativesTravel to Coastal areas monthly - for field working days with representativesCompiling and analyzing sales figuresMonitoring Weekly Repwise planningMonitoring Leave and other activitiesReviewing regional expenses and recommending improvementsCompetency, Experience & Skills RequiredQualifications:Matric / Grade 12Tertiary Qualifications in Science/ Sales and Marketing or businessMinimum Experience required:Minimum 3- 5 years pharmaceutical experience in Respiratory/Dermatology spaceValid Driver's license and own vehicleKnowledge:Sales experience Pharmacy and Dr DetailingProduct KnowledgeHuman Resource Principle and PracticesSkills Required:Planning and organisingCommunication SkillsConflict ManagementAbility to motivate othersCustomer service skillsNegotiating and listening skillsRelationship BuildingAbility to persuade and influence other through strong interpersonal and communication skillsExcel skills, working with SSD  & Impact RX reportsBehaviour:Ability to work IndependentlyProfessional outlook and appearanceRespectable behaviourHigh level of Self-motivationHonesty and integrityDecision makingResults orientatedTeam leadershipCandidates that meet the criteria may submit their applications via this portal or via vacancy link on www.mnarecruitment.comShould you receive no feedback within 7 days, please accept your application as unsuccessful.
