Overview: Assignment Length: Ongoing Job Type: Contract Medical Specialty: Emergency Medicine, Trauma Medicine Work Setting: Emergency Room (ER) Location: Rochester, NY Pay: Regular Rate: $70/hr Overtime Rate: $97.50/hr Description: Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Local Flex Team delivers top-quality patient care reflecting our commitment to Emergency Medicine at Rochester's Health System. Utilizing the nursing process, you'll assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to the highest standards and evidence-based practices. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you'll ensure exceptional quality, safety, and efficiency in the ER setting. Required Credentials:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Degree from accredited Nursing School (Diploma or Associate degree accepted, Bachelors preferred)
• Active, unencumbered & unrestricted RN license in New York State

• Short Term Assignment (STA) RN: 18 months in Emergency Medicine or Trauma Medicine
• Just in Time (JIT) RN: 24 months in Emergency Medicine or Trauma Medicine

• Various treatment procedures; physical, educational, and emotional support to patients/families.
• Medications administration, IV line management, vitals monitoring, and other treatments.
• Facility, clinical instruments, and equipment knowledge.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct.
• Upholding HIPAA regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate documentation.
• Independent and collaborative work, proactive with excellent organizational skills.
• Quick clinical and critical-thinking skills to respond to changing patient conditions.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in the ER, in line with healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
