About this Role: -This role is for a Pega Technology skilled Software Developer in the Digital Process Automation domain with ~ 2+ Years of relevant Pega Technical Experience working towards being an SME cutting across several business- critical Telco OSS/BSS Software Systems. BT is envisioning promising growth in its Digital IT space, with extensive plans for upgrading and automating its legacy systems and processes, with Digital Process Automation at heart of its core capability to empower this enterprise scale transformation. BT's Digital Process Automation Centre of Excellence team is currently charged with enabling transformation of systems and processes with new age DPA technologies like Pega, with ambitious plans to expand panning across Business Units of the Organization's several lines of Business. The role will collaborate with the BT's Pega DPA COE team ensuring the solutions built on Pega is effectively Designed, Developed, and aligned for Validation and Support as per the standards and principles laid down by Pega and the DPA COE, contributing towards Delivery Excellence, working on Technology Transformation, Development and Test Automation adhering to the S/W Engineering Best Practises and Pega/DPA COE standard principles You'll have the following responsibilities: -As a Software Engineering Developer, you are responsible for the development and support of multiple S/W systems. You are the team player and supposed to develop expertise with Pretty Hands-On Expertise in Application design and development in Pega with experience in Microservices, REST, and Various Design Patterns etc Desirable knowledge on both Relational (Oracle, SQL) and Non-Relational (Mongo, NOSQL, Cassandra) Database Technologies You have hands on Knowledge on Native Cloud Technology like AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) etcYou are conversant with emerging Tech as well like AI/ML/Data Analytics and are Technology and Tool Aware and you keep yourself up to date with latest Technology and Trends You can work both as an individual contributor as well as a Team Player to showcase 'what good is' by being an expert engineer. You will be expected to demonstrate best practices in refining requirements, design solutions, review code, tests and deploy applications.You are a role model for the Software Engineering Professionals in the team with a responsibility to set a high bar for quality.You will establish yourself as a Technical expert, by continuously evaluating areas of Technology, Process and Standards to identify improvement opportunities and areas of Optimisation.You will work towards becoming key knowledge champion and seek every opportunity to share your experience across the department. You will often get opportunity to represent your team in meetings with Leads/Stakeholders, collaborating in the strategy and direction. As a technology enthusiast you keep up to date with the latest developments in the IT industry and apply industry best practice to drive continuous improvement and innovation within BT.> Responsible for Application design & development in Pega 8.6 or above, contributing towards delivering high quality technical solutions across all phases of the software development lifecycle. > Design, develop and deploy Pega business process management (BPM) software. > Troubleshoot PEGA Application issues and provide fixes. > Integrate Pega Application with Legacy as well as modern systems, using SOAP/REST web services, etc. > Participate in requirement & design discussions and understand the translation into technical design. > Prepare Development artefacts and HLD/LLD Documents where required. > Adhere to compliance and standard design and coding Guardrails, UI/UX standards, and Best Practices etc. > Perform show & tell sessions, demo activities for stakeholders and work towards further enhancing the application based on feedback. > Collaborating with a high performing Pega DPA COE team, ensure the solutions built on Pega is effectively Designed, Developed, and aligned for Validation and Support as per the standards and principles laid down by Pega and DPA COE PRB
