Job Title: EHS&S Engineer/SpecialistExperience: 4 - 8 YearsJob Location: Jubail - Saudi ArabiaEducation: Any GraduationNationality: Any Arab National, Any GCC National, Saudi ArabianGender: AnyEmployment Type: Full TimeIndustry: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Industrial GasesDepartment / Functional Area: HSE (Health, Safety, Environment)Keywords: Safety Officer, Safety, Health Safety, Safety Management, Safety Procedures, Safety Standards, Safety Environment, Hazard Analysis, EHS, HSERequirementsJob Description:Roles & Responsibilities:Ensure EH&S work processes, standards, and procedures are effectively applied within the units and functions through role assignment and training.Support site-wide EHS&S systems as needed.Implement the Management of Change for EHS&S matters.Lead and participate in Site initiatives and teams to drive EH&S improvements.Lead and participate in Incident and EH&S Investigations.Champion management system reviews to drive continuous improvement.Identify, escalate, and resolve potential EH&S risks.Lead incident reduction efforts.Provide functional coaching to individuals performing EH&S related roles.Address incidents and audit corrective actions involving system deficiencies.Collaborate with Site leadership to plan resources and determine specific business needs.Coach EH&S Technicians to address unit-specific EH&S needs.Ensure compliance processes in units are in place and functioning.Accountable for cost-effective implementation of EH&S systems through standard work processes and common systems.Ensure waste management processes and environmental license to operate requirements are followed.Participate in and provide data to EH&S audits as defined by the audit process.Work with Site leadership to determine the applicability of regulatory requirements to units.Act as the focal point for Agency Visits.Own and implement the Site's EH&S work processes, tools, and procedures to attain and maintain an effective EH&S.BenefitsDesired Candidate Profile:Ability to transmit knowledge effectively through teaching, coaching, communicating, and documenting, while exhibiting commitment, passion, and culture change behaviors.Effective organizational management skills, particularly in leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing EHS&S talent.Knowledgeable about the Site's EH&S standards & procedures and capable of coaching others appropriately.Organizes and manages EH&S standards, requirements, etc., for accessibility and up-to-datedness.Maintains good relationships with all Site personnel and across all functions.Capable of coaching Site personnel on EH&S matters.Leads the management system/plant to implement the EH&S MOC process effectively.Can evaluate process changes for potential risks.Identifies incident reduction issues and implements necessary actions.Proficient in describing the corrective action process and coaching others on it.Capable of tracking and managing key action items from investigations and audits, inputting data, pulling reports, and monitoring progress.Effective at coaching / influencing others.Possesses a good understanding of RC (Regulatory Compliance) requirements and experience in communicating and dealing with RC authorities.4 to 7 years of experience as a Leader in the Industry for plant-aligned roles. Certified EHS Professional preferred.Requires a 5-year technical degree (Second level university degree required), Technical Safety Engineering Degree preferred.
