We are currently seeking a Senior Fashion Designer with extensive expertise, creativity, and a passion for designing traditional Indian women's wear.Only Mumbai Candidates to applyRole: Senior Fashion Designer. Location: Goregaon, Mumbai Job Type: Full-time on-site.Requirements:- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a fashion designer in Indian Ethnic wear (Preferably NIFT / Pearl institute candidates).- Proven acumen in working on development projects for women's wear, particularly in ethnic wear and digital prints. Handwork knowledge is preferable- Experience in overseeing the design process from conceptualization, sketching, pattern drafting to final garment assembly, showcasing creative and artistic ability.- Demonstrated ability to interpret sales team requirements and create designs aligned with their target market.- Proficiency in managing and guiding team members to achieve desired results within set time frames and budgets.Core Competencies:- Analyse trends in fabrics, silhouettes, and colors for planning and developing a season-wise range.- Conduct research based on lifestyle concepts, trends, and regional attributes.- Collaborate with the design and sampling team to develop products that meet the brief.- Liaise closely with buying and production teams for sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories according to needs and development plans.- Ensure timely delivery of samples while maintaining standard quality and adhering to budget parameters.- Acquire a clear understanding of brand businesses and requirements.- Supervise sampling garments from the initial proto to the final gold seal sample for production, ensuring adherence to design and technical parameters.- Create detailed sketches, mood boards, and technical drawings to communicate design ideas effectively.- Create patterns and samples of the designs.- Oversee and guide the pattern-making and sample creation processes to ensure an accurate translation of designs into physical garments.Quality Assurance:- Work closely with production teams to monitor the quality and craftsmanship of finished products.- Conduct regular reviews to ensure designs meet the brand's standards and specifications.- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.- Collaborate with the design team, pattern makers, and production staff to streamline the design-to-production process.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related field.- Strong portfolio showcasing original designs and creative concepts.- In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics, materials, and garment construction.- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, sketching, draping, and sewing.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Knowledge of the production process to ensure cost-effective and timely manufacturing.- Fluency in languages: Hindi and English.
