Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the fintech sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software testing with specific skills in automation frameworks and JavaScript/Java. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in a startup or fintech environment and three to five years in automation.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript/Java and Playwright/Cypress.io / Selenium.- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet product needs.- Monitor debugging process results and investigate the causes of bugs.- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks that can be used across multiple projects.- Work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.-Coordinate with PM /Tech and understand the gap and plan test strategy for execution.-Actively work closely with senior developers and understand the upcoming tasks and plan QA activities-Keep a constant check on the customer experience breakages and provide necessary inputs-Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.-Managing the final quality of the product releases.-Communicate design and test impact based on business requirements.Minimum Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience in a startup or fintech environment.- 3-5 years of experience in QA automation.- Proficient with JavaScript/Java and Selenium for creating automated tests.- Strong understanding of web browser technologies, including cookies and storage management.- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.- Proven ability to document and troubleshoot errors.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Relational Database Systems (RDS) and database testing.- Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent team player and communication skills.
