This is where you can do your best work.Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives—where your purpose accelerates our mission.Your Role at Baxter:As the Director Commercial Operations, Canada, you'll be accountable for leading the Canadian horizontal organization to achieve overall business and financial objectives, including Commercial Operations, Excellence & Enablement, Contracts Pricing & RFPs , PMO, Digital Health, Strategic Account Management/Enterprise and Translation Services. You will help drive the achievement of total country specific financial targets with emphasis on sales, AGP, sales related SG&A, DSO, forecasts and product line objectives. You will ensure country sales and marketing resources and programs are structured and aligned to preserve business specific market leadership and improve profitability. You will implement performance improvement/change management into the operation allowing it to operate more effectively; drive continued and sustainable growth in all business lines; manage the business in compliance with the company's business practice standards; and instill a greater global perspective to the organization.What You'll Be Doing:Lead the Canadian horizontal organization (outlined above), partner with segment leads and the global functions to identify the relevant priorities and goals and support flawless execution.Develop, direct, and implement strategies, and tactical activities to drive business success in the country through the functional levers identified above.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, key opinion leaders and representatives of local/regional healthcare system, payers and industry associations.Lead industry association initiatives in line with company interests through both individual and team interactionsMonitor and influence country healthcare economics and changes in reimbursement, taxes, and regulatory requirements (GAPP)Support budgeting, financial and demand forecastingTalent Management: lead and motivate the team while acting as a role model of the Baxter Culture Levers and leadership competencies.Where required, collaborate with global functions to design and implement change either cross segment or segment specifically.Ensure support tools and platforms are rigorously maintained and subject to continuous improvement initiatives.High amount and frequency of business travel expected.Your Location:Working on-site, the role is located at our facility in Mississauga, Canada. This policy provides the benefits of connecting and collaborating in-person in support of our Mission.What You'll Bring:• Batchelor's degree is required; MBA/Post Graduate Degree preferred; area of study might include business, science, marketing, or finance• Overall management experience at least 10 years or more• Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and experience of working in a regulated environment both domestically and internationally• Managed a large global operation comprised of diverse cultures and employees• Understanding of the Economics and Healthcare dynamics is essential• Track record of success in growing top line revenues and increasing financial returns/profitability of the business• Experience leading health care business in a matrix environment• Experience developing country-based strategic vision and execution of operating plans• Experience creating partnerships that result in identification of emerging customer needs• Proven success in leading and motivating large teams• Ability to develop a strong succession pipeline• Success in a matrix organization which includes the ability to navigate through ambiguity with a diplomatic approach• Successful relevant work experience in North America or International markets is preferredReasonable AccommodationsBaxter is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities globally.
