About the Role:

Reporting to the AVP, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis plays a critical part in ensuring effective financial management and decision-making and is ideal for candidates who are interested in creating strong partnerships across the organization, "rolling up their sleeves", and developing a broad range of skills required for the next step in their career.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast cycles, working closely with department heads and senior management.

Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend adjustments as needed.

Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and analyses for the Board of Directors and Executive Management Team providing clear insights into financial performance, risk and opportunities.

Manage relationships with key business partners in understanding cost activities and drivers, as well as profitability dimensions.

Provide financial support to evaluate new business strategies and initiatives, including profitability analyses and investment business cases.

Support the Investor Relations function with materials used for AGF's quarterly earnings call and investor meetings as needed.

Provide financial support for corporate development initiatives.

Provide guidance and mentorship to the Senior Manager & Manager of FP&A.

Your Qualifications:

Completion of CPA designation.

7 to 10 years of managerial experience in FP&A.

Experience within the financial services industry highly desirable.

Experience with Adaptive Insights and Workday Financials is an asset.

Advanced level of understanding of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Strong organizational and analytical skills, an acute attention to detail, and an eye towards continuous process improvement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills to effectively work and communicate with all levels in the organization.

Ability to adapt, learn quickly and work independently on multiple competing priorities.

Thrives in a complex and changing work environment.

Excellent time management skills.
