One Data Streaming Platform.Data Connects Us.About The RoleThe team's charter includes building the next-generationEvents Platform to enable our Confluent Cloud platform to achieve 10x thecurrent scale. The Events platform enables services in our control plane toconnect with managed services like Kafka, Connect in a secure, reliable,and scalable manner. As a senior software engineer, you will collaborateclosely with the team and essential stakeholders to design, architect anddevelop our secure multi-tenant Cloud Platform. You will have anopportunity to solve complex distributed systems problems at scale. Youwill build services that can operate across different cloud serviceproviders like AWS, GCP, and Azure.What You Will Do Own the execution and delivery of well defined technical problems endto end. Build mission-critical backend services that deliver value to ourcustomers. You will play a crucial role in architecting, designing,developing and operationalizing high performance, scalable, reliable andresilient services Troubleshoot and debug technical issues inside a deep and complextechnical stack that includes microservices, containers, and virtualization Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the availabilityand performance SLA commitments to our customersWhat You Will Bring 3+ years industry experience designing, building and supportingbackend systems in production with a solid grasp on good softwareengineering practices such as code reviews, deep focus on quality, anddocumentation Strong programming and algorithmic skills. Proficiency in a majorprogramming language, e.g. Java, Go, C / C++, Python, etc. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and effectivecommunication skills to deliver on projects Experience in owning operational excellence for large scale productionservices A strong sense of customer centricity, teamwork, ownership andmentorship and are excited about team and company success BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalentwork experienceWhat Gives You An Edge Proven track record of ownership and delivery of large-scale, highlyavailable, low latency systems Hands-on technical expertise in large scale systems engineering ordistributed systems or cloud technologies On-call experience handling critical systems Come As You Are At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture.
