WebSphere Administrator

We are seeking a passionate WebSphere Administrator to join our growing and dynamic team! This role will be for Cognizant's Infrastructure practice. What will you do? Enhance availability and performance for WASND, IBM HTTP Server Plugins, and IBM HTTP Server systems. Involved in the full cycle - installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching, clustering, and monitoring. Administer JDBC, JMS, JNDI, and Node Manager for Managed Servers. Create and manage clusters for High Availability. Handle Windows and/or Linux Sys Admin tasks. Manage Log Files, Thread Dumps, JVM Dumps, and provide RCA. Monitor, analyze, and tune WebSphere environments. Install and configure Apache web servers & Tomcat application servers. Deploy applications in various environments (war, ear, jar, etc.). Support DR exercises in the Middleware environment. Configure JMS/Queue connection factories/Queues/Activation Specifications Must Have: 7-10 years experience in Middleware Administration with primary skill in WebSphere & Apache webserver. Must have skills- IBM WebSphere App Server admin L2 level Apache Tomcat Administration. Proficiency in URL re-writing, virtual directories, application Pools, etc. Experience in Web services (e.g., SOAP, UDDI, WSDL) and WebSphere performance tuning.
