Integrated Engineering Design Group

Morrison Hershfield's Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group provides integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential, and commercial clients with a focus on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education, and food/beverage facilities that require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. Our team is recognized as leaders in the field.

Responsibilities

Prepare HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems designs, specifications, and drawings for all building types.

Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to obtain project information and discuss specific design-related problems.

Create and present technical reports on the nature, status, and results of design or study assignments.

Recognize the implications of assigned work on the work of other disciplines and ensure necessary coordination occurs.

Conduct construction review activities, including site review of construction work progress.

May supervise and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

15 or more years of experience in designing mechanical systems within the consulting engineering industry

Current P.Eng. license holder

Experience working independently, without detailed supervision

1 year of project management experience will be considered an asset

Strong computer skills, ideally including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

LEED Accreditation will be considered an asset

Ability to work in a team environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
