About the Role
Zero Hash is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for digital assets and blockchain products. We're looking for a true technologist with a love of programming and a drive for technical excellence. Responsibilities
Work with a team of talented engineers and product managers to deliver products and features that support Zero Hash's businessPartner closely with Zero Hash product and program managers to ensure roadmap is well understood and team is able to plan and execute on expected outcomesWork with the team on technical planning to ensure that product requirements are captured in the technical solutionPartner with other Engineering Managers to drive the technical roadmap forwardSupport the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellenceManage processes to help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of Zero hashRecruit, coach, and develop engineersHelp engineers establish career development plansContribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Zero Hash's engineering management teamParticipate in essential technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across our product and operations teamsWork with a wide range of stakeholders to build a clear vision for your teamOversee the success of your team's projects and achieve quantifiable resultsIntroduce industry leading engineering patterns and practices that give us the confidence to do bold thingsMake development contributions so as to maintain competency with our codebase and system architecture
Required Experience
Golang expertise, familiar with Go's idiomatic approach and niches. Familiarity with TypeScript and React for frontend services.Understanding of API conceptsAble to architect different communication designs, including gRPC, REST, streaming, and event sourcingExperience with domain driven design practices such as event stormingExperience and knowledge of best practices surrounding technology platformsPrior exposure to enterprise-sized organizations or fast-growth startupsYou've managed teams that have delivered great productsYou enjoy working closely with customers, both internally and externallyYou work very well cross-functionally, and are able to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffsYou encourage a healthy work environment that's both supportive and challenging
Required Qualifications
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent years of work experience.10+ years of software design and development experience with backend services.10+ years hands on experience in any Object-Oriented coding language such as Go, C++, C#, or Java.3+ years of engineering management experience, including managing staff and principal level engineers3+ years architecting distributed systemsStrong verbal and written communication skills in English with excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skillsExperience in DevOps to maintain live services and\or application frameworks.Cloud and services experience, with AWS cloud experience highly desirable.Excellent analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software designPassion for building highly scalable, highly reliable servicesStrong desire to perform and grow as an Engineering ManagerHave a strong bias toward serving your team and stakeholdersGrowth mindset and a healthy comfort with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of blockchain fundamentalsPersonal interest in blockchain technology and its applications demonstrated in community involvement, conference attendance, etc.Product experience in fintech and digital assets
