The Senior Financial Analyst will work in conjunction with the Senior Regional Controller to undertake and manage the financial and administration affairs of the assigned regions/company in accordance with Corporate Policy.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist operations with preparation of any ad hoc reportsSupport ongoing business planning and quarterly forecasting processes as well as annual strategic planning exerciseComplete and review month-end reconciliations and budget variance analysesManage cash flow and other company assetsProvide financial recommendations and ideas when new business initiatives are proposedEnsure management of general ledgerResolve any vendor payment disputesAssist with collection of accounts receivable when requiredPlan, organize and undertake the period close process including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.Ensure conformity with internal accounting policies and business processes as well as compliance with established internal controls, including approval requirements with a keen eye toward cost control and accuracyEnsure integrity of financial data and systems and adherence to Corporate reporting timelinesParticipation in annual external auditDevelop stream-lined reports using Power BIPrepare salary recovery worksheets and other cost transfer forms and postPost journal entries, perform bank reconciliations and reconcile required general ledger accounts as requiredPerform month end process related to jobs (i.e. closeouts, profit recognition, unbilled work orders) and update of accounting WIP reports

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a diploma in Business Administration - Accounting or a degree in FinanceCPA designation a requirement
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller positionPrior experience in a construction or engineering company preferred
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Strong analytical skills with proficiency with advanced Excel skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAdvanced Excel knowledge and systems aptitudeKnowledge of JDE Edwards or comparable ERP system preferred
