As Territorial Director, Pharmacy, you will set, and ensure compliance with, all policies that govern safe and effective pharmaceutical care and comply with all National and Territorial legislation and standards, along with overseeing, monitoring, and adjusting the Territorial strategic plan for the provision of pharmacy services, to ensure that the highest standards and best practices are met.In this key role, you will provide financial reporting to the Executive Management Committee and the Assistant Deputy Minister to guide decisions on effective program changes and implementations, as well as examine and develop strategic partnerships that may result in improved financial management. You will also assess the performance of division staff and ensure that team building, training, development and progressive disciplinary actions take place when required.QUALIFICATIONSYour profile as a qualified Territorial Director, Pharmacy will include the following highlights:A recognized Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and a Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Certificate, including five (5) years of recent related pharmacy management experience in an acute healthcare setting.Registration or eligibility for registration as a pharmacist in Nunavut, plus licensure in good standing in one other Province or Territory.ASSETS:A Master's or PharmD from a recognized university.Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages (i.e., Inuktut, English and/or French).Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture and land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Inuktut.Experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment.
