Get inspired, get involved, and ignite your future with IMAX!Job Description:About the RoleIMAX is looking for a Senior Manager to join the growing Corporate Tax team. You will be reporting to the SVP, Tax & Treasury and lead the financial statement tax reporting process, including preparing, reviewing, and consolidating global legal entity tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP and coordinating with external auditors to manage their quarterly review and year end audit requirements. You'll also lead other corporate tax processes including tax forecasting, tax audit management and assist with tax planning projects. We're looking for someone with global tax experience, with SAP and reporting tools experience a plus.What You'll Do:Implement internal tax processes and coordinate with internal teams regarding tax forecasting and cash repatriationManage the CRA and other tax audits coordinating team responsesAssist with transfer pricing policies for the IMAX groupResponsible for the review of Canadian corporate tax returnsAssist with M&A and post-acquisition integration activities including tax due diligence, structuring and review of agreementsAdvise on the tax and tax accounting impact of unusual transactions, new business ventures and assess the impact of new proposed tax legislationWork with team on ad hoc projectsWhat You'll Need:8+ years of combined corporate tax experience in industry and public accounting with a proven track record managing Canadian and international tax issues and complianceChartered Professional Accountant with completion of the CPA In depth Tax Course (or equivalent)Solid knowledge of US GAAP and tax accountingNice to Have:Experience with SAP and reporting tools an assetDetail-oriented with the ability to clearly document analysis and conclusionsCuriosity and interest in the business to proactively identify tax planning opportunities and improvements in the tax functionTakes ownership for the external reporting process developing and managing the processGood verbal and written communication skills to distill complex tax concepts for non-tax business partnersAt IMAX, you will be part of a culture built on respect - we are committed to creating a welcoming and diverse atmosphere across our organization.For consideration, please apply online.
