TheRectification Controller reports to the Forward Maintenance Manager and is a skilled maintenancetechnician undertaking a range reporting tasks prioritising and allocatingmanpower. At this level,the post holder requires an excellent understanding of the Typhoon aircraftsystems and reporting processes.The post holder will be responsible foraccurate maintenance and updating of ESS State Board progressing estimates andforecasts of aircraft recovery times.Briefing the Part M organisation on the state ofthe Typhoon fleet and the recovery actions.Provide effective leadership and supervision to team members underyour direct supervisionEnsuring that all maintenance activities are appropriatelyrecorded and airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systemsPerform Rectifications Control tasking:Accurate maintenance and updating ofESS State Board progressing estimates and forecasts of aircraft recovery timesBriefing squadron authorised pilotregarding aircraft limitationsUndertake and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities onan aircraft or components which may include, as appropriate, aircraft groundhandling, flight servicing, aircraft role changes, component removals,inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/orfunctional/system testSupervise team to ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule andhighlight any issues, escalate as required. Report on any impact to the widerprogrammeDemonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying outresponsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriatelyEnsure staff are sufficiently competent and approved for the maintenancetasks allocated to themMaintain personal & teams task authorisation for working on aircraftor components in accordance with regulatory requirementsResponsible for meeting agreed delivery targets in the short to mediumterm through the supervision of othersUndertake support tasks within the aircraft or component maintenancefacility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOEProvide guidance and leadership to the team. Develop team members usingformal assessment processes. Demonstrate sound and comprehensive communicationand people management skills in order to exchange complicated informationUndertake fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for 'found faults'during maintenanceAbility to scope and carry out independent and vital inspectionsMeet agreed delivery targets at a tactical levelthrough the effective supervision of personnelKey AccountabilitiesPerformanceindicators - Ensure the effective management of regulatory activities bysetting delivery targets, monitoring progress and developing performanceimprovement programmes. Prioritises activities within/across teams to maximiseefficiency. Responsible for the assessment of escalated issues for any impacton continuing airworthiness and generating effective resolution, or sponsoringescalation to management, as appropriateProcedure/standards - Comply withthe regulatory framework, its associated procedures and standards and any othercompany procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes,as requiredCompletion of activities - Ensure allPart 145 activities are appropriately documented and airworthiness records aremaintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Ensure all Part 145activities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorisedpersonnel. Ensure the integration of Part 145 activitywithin the business, including the engagement of key stakeholders at all stagesof the process. Provide support and guidance to the teamSafetyManagement System - Promote the application of Human Factors, ErrorManagement, Risk Management and Safety Assurance within the Part 145 team,together with the proactive analysis, mitigation and management of HazardsManagementSystem Assurance - EnsurePart 145 team activities are compliant with the Regulatory Governance andAssurance framework. Ensure Process Confirmations and independent assuranceaudits are supported by Part 145 personnel and integrated within/across teams.Manage the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner andprovide information into the relevant reviews. Generate and implement effectiveimprovements within/across teams to overcome any non-compliance and monitoreffectivenessStatutory/Regulatory& Legislative requirements - Able to demonstrate an appropriate level ofunderstanding and application of the relevant continuing airworthinessregulatory framework. Support the implementation of any regulatory drivenchanges into the maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with all otherrequirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISOContractualRequirements - Comply with allapplicable contractual requirementsRequirementsCompletion of an EngineeringApprenticeship (including a City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 or equivalent), ideally in AeronauticalEngineering and / or a recognised Engineering Degree from either aeronautical,mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies relevant to themaintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft Requires a minimum of 2 years working at Supervisor level prior to undertakingthis roleOn the Job TrainingInstructional Techniques5 years practical experienceapplying aviation safety standards and operating practices. 2 years relevantwork experience as an operator within the aircraft maintenance componentenvironment. Demonstrating breadth of experience, currency & recency via aLog Book capturing skills, knowledge and authorities for working on Aircraft orin bays. 6 months experience on type (in the last two years). A comprehensiveknowledge of Acceptable Means of Compliance. Management training Typhoon Avionic or Mechanical Trade 'Q' Course or equivalentHuman Factors- StandardCourse Specification.E&PW Awareness-Standard Course Specification.ITAR Awareness- StandardCourse Specification.IT Literate.
