We are currently seeking an experienced Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) to join our team. As CFO, you'll lead our financial strategy and oversee all aspects of financial planning and management. You'll be responsible for spearheading strategic financial initiatives, overseeing budgetary processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving growth, optimizing financial performance, and maximizing shareholder value.KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in the development of the Organization strategy and business plan.Oversee the development and implementation of the finance strategies for the Organization.Champion the development of finance policies and procedures for the Organization with adequate consideration and ensure compliance.Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, treasury and investor relations activities of the Organization.Assess feasibility of investments in defined all the sectors as well as provides inputs on key financial risks identified.Monitor overall operational and capital spending as well as provide strategic direction to control costs.Determine capital structure and provide recommendation for its review based on changing business needs. Secure long-term financing of company operations as well as build liaisons with local and international financial institutions.Represent the organization to external regulators and government bodies pertaining to finance related queries as well as defend and upholds Company interest.Provide commercial lead and advice for all the new JV or subsidiaries set up. Provide Board of Directors with the periodic accurate financial position of the group and share the rational for any financial related decision for better decision making. Establish and oversee implementation of all financial procedures and internal controls to ensure that all activities are well defined and regulated.Employ financial instruments appropriately to hedge costly exposures to risk.Oversees annual budgeting process and its consolidation to develop the overall budget.Oversees support functions for business units, including budgeting, accounts payables and receivables, cash management and payroll.Procure and liaises with outsourced Internal Audit team to assist with financial audits. Oversee the implementation of financial audit recommendations. Communicate financial performance and forecasts internally and to shareholders.Oversee management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the Company including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to relevant entities, development and monitoring of the Company's budgets.Coordinate timely preparation of Organization and financial statements as per reporting frequency, ensuring the statements reflect the organisation's financial position and comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.Oversee provision of timely, accurate and relevant financial information for strategic decision making.Periodically review performance reports and highlight as required to the Senior Management suggesting possible courses action to ensure the Company's strategic objectives are achieved.Oversee treasury and investment activities (short-term investments of 3-6 months), managing cash-flow and ensuring liquidity for the Company's operations.Enforce corporate governance policies and ensure compliance with financial manual of authorities in corporate financial decision-making processes. Develop framework for delegation of authority on financial issues i.e. develop, administer and manage the financial manual of authorities.Oversee the development and implementation of broad-level IT strategy for the organization, as well as the relevant procedures and policies.Ensure effective communication of corporate information to employees within the department including relevant policies and procedures, and corporate values.Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and development, compensation, promotion, career development and succession planning. This is done in full collaboration with the HR function.Coach and mentor direct subordinates to develop their skills and ensure continuous people development.Perform any other work-related duties as assigned by Group Chief Executive Officer.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Degree in Finance or Accounts or related disciplinePost graduate degree such as MSc, MBA or PGD in a relevant discipline will be an advantage Professional certification from relevant institutions such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA will be an added advantageA minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a similar role.Advanced knowledge of strategic thinking and application of strategic planning processes.Knowledge of financial planning, analysis and reporting best practices. Understanding of regulatory requirements for financial reporting including the IFRSUnderstanding of funds management and leading practices in investment
