The global life science company Bioiberica produces active ingredients for humans, animals and plants, from starting material it receives from Van Hessen.We create the added layer of value with our products and services, improve the well-being of all by taking life science further and combine our attention to detail with the extraordinary, because it all matters.The opportunityReporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be a key member of the Divisional Finance function, leading both internal and external reporting and external audit.ResponsibilitiesPart of the group financial accounting, consolidation and reporting processes; producing professional reporting.Plan, communicate and manage the reporting cycle.Ensure the maintenance of strong controls over the accuracy and integrity of accounting and reporting across the group, including compliance with regulatory requirements.Ensure preparation of timely and insightful internal (consolidated) financial reporting which reflects business performance, to support decision-making for senior management..Develop key relationships across the SARIA Food & Pharma Division, including business unit finance teams.Oversight of the relationship with the external auditors and other external advisors where necessary, ensuring provision of appropriate documentation to support the annual audit.Ad hoc activities (e.g. support in M&A, providing ad hoc information to stakeholders).Provision of technical accounting support to Division and business units.Experience:Educated to degree level (or equivalent).Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent) in a top tier practice, with experience of auditing global listed businesses.Considerable consolidation and reporting experience within a global business.Skills:Commercially aware with strong analytical and advanced Excel skills.Ability to provide pragmatic advice and support to the business.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.Strong time management and resource management to ensure deadlines are met.Knowledge:Strong working knowledge of various GAAPs (IFRS, Dutch GAAP and preferably also German GAAP).This is a Hybrid role which would offer 3 days minimum in the office and 2 days remote.
