Chief Marketing Officer at Relive

We're looking for a CMO that can help take Relive to the next level. You'll be in charge of defining and executing an ambitious marketing strategy and roadmap to help us grow more than 10x. You'll take the lead in pointing us in the right direction - making key decisions on which growth channels to develop and how we work. Your job is to take marketing within Relive from 0 to 100.

To achieve these ambitious goals you'll be part of Relive's leadership team and lead and grow a talented growth organisation. You'll be expected to define and build a great growth culture - helping to find and foster the right kind of talent to execute on your plans. You are the primary voice of marketing inside and outside Relive.

What would I work on?

Marketing at Relive is a pretty much a green field. Our current growth all comes via word of mouth and only recently we started some non-product growth initiatives:

started a Growth team (7FTE) focussed on optimising the conversion rate of our 2M+ monthly web visitors to app installers.our Community team (3FTE) is testing small influencer marketing campaigns.we're exploring SEO opportunities, guided by external SEO experts.

The first job of our CMO is to turn these initiatives into tangible growth successes, creating room to grow the marketing team and branching out to other growth channels.

What else is happening at Relive?

Over the last years we found that the way people enjoy the outdoors, and therefore the product that suits best, varies from one person to the next. Practically, that means adding a new feature to an existing product might be a great value-add for one, but a distraction to another.

In order to maximise the potential of a product it needs to be easy to find and fun to use. Therefore we decided to transform into a portfolio company, where it is our dream to build multiple products just like Relive.

"Sell the product before it exists"

This is the second job of our CMO! We think it is crucial to have a very strong and validated go-to-market strategy before we create a new product. It is your job shape and validate these strategies so that all the products we'll build will actually be used and loved by millions.

What's my mission?

Work closely together with the rest of the leadership team to figure out how Relive's products will grow in the next years and define and execute a marketing strategy and roadmap to enable it. Design, grow and lead our marketing organisation. You will have a defining role in growing Relive to a 100+ FTE tech company.Build a high performing marketing culture that lets us execute on our ambitious plans and that attracts and retains the right talent.Be accountable for growth.You'll be the direct manager of our Growth PM and our Community Lead. You'll be responsible for developing your reports and working with them to improve our people and processes.Our Growth team and Community team report to you.Constantly look ahead and make sure we'll solve the problems that come with increasing the scale of both our user base and our team. Strategic - You define, own, and execute our long-term marketing strategy. You'll play a central role in Relive's leadership team and report directly to our CEO, Lex. You know how to make informed decisions that support a wider company strategy.A team player & builder - we believe in the power of autonomy within teams. You know how to empower teams and get everyone aligned, working together efficiently. You also know who you want on your team and you will play a central role in getting them on board. Needless to say, our recruiters will be there to support you. Together you build and lead a brilliant marketing team with a passion for growth, a high sense of ownership, and a culture of getting stuff done.A T-shaped person - with broad interest in marketing and growth and a few areas where you can go really deep.Hands on at first - Strategic and hands-on might not align too well at first sight, but we think it is important for our CMO to chip in at first, as this will allow us to go fast early on.Analytical - We tend to measure everything we do at Relive. All the way from impact features have on user's behaviour to speed and stability of our systems. We think it is very important to have this same level over informedness within our marketing team.

Who you are

This role is ideal if you have 4 or more years experience working as a CMO or marketing lead. Ideally you've spent most of that time working on a B2C product with a large user base. You're comfortable with setting up and scaling multiple channels leading a team to build amazing marketing experiences that delight users and deliver on business goals.
