A position exists at the Gqeberha Branch for an External Sales Consultant. To generate new business and grow existing customer base, to meet and exceed sales objectives.REQUIREMENTSMatric/Grade 12Sales and Marketing qualification3-5 years proven sales track recordMust be computer literateOwn transport and a valid driver's license essentialJDE knowledge (advantageous)Interior design background (advantageous)JOB ATTRIBUTESCompetitive character with "can do attitude"Prepared to work long hoursFlexible and ProfessionalPay attention to detail and problem solvingAdhere to policy and proceduresUnderstand workflow processWork well under pressureManage time / self-starterExcellent communication skillsExcellent presentation skillApply product knowledgeUnderstand clients' needsProvide innovative / original solutionsApply knowledge of factories/suppliersSolve customer and supplier problems effectivelyGood admin and computer skillsGood business ethicsJOB SUMMARYSales Income - Meet intake, Invoicing target and GP Values:Maintain existing clientsExpand existing client baseBuild relationships with clients and suppliersLiaise with designerConvert scale of measurementProvide Technical specifications to manufactures according to customer requirementsObtain cost on projectsDraft proposals timeously containing:Quotes in JDESpecifications in depth with understanding all aspects of applicationsConcept pictures/imagesFabric / wood samplesPresentation / Power pointCompany terms and conditionsPresentation proposals to clientProcess amendments if requiredDiscussion of payment terms at presentation stageWork closely with Branch ManagerAttend site meetings and general follow up meetingsDebtors: Assist debtors department with product related queries holding up payment.Sales AdminTranslate proposals to JDEProcess internal documents i.e., collection notes, service notes, installation documentsBrief & interact with installation teamsEnsure all documents are in place before processing and order i.e.Purchase order is perfect in relation to JDE quoteCash sales agreement50% deposit where applicableSupplier's costingPlan, coordinate, communicate deliveries and installations to team membersConduct site visits & inspections before and during installationsComplete snag lists and hand over to clientOtherLoad daily activity on JDEFormulate prospects, weekly and monthly forecasts for Branch ManagerConduct showroom presentationKnowledge sharingShould you wish to apply please email your CV through to Marlene Williams at marlene@profilepersonnel.co.zaOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
