The Strategic SCM team is responsible for supply chain processes and systems design & deployment, flawless product launches and broader business execution, including working capital management. With leading supply chain capabilities and integrated services tailored to meet our customers' unique requirements, our unified supply chain is adaptive and responsive to continuous change. We are currently seeking a Director, Strategic Supply Chain Management (Capital Equipment) to join our team to be the global supply chain focal point and primary interface with Celestica’s global supply chain organization, processes and procedure. The successful candidate will have significant experience in both customer management and execution of both strategic and tactical initiatives. The incumbent will lead the efforts of multiple support organizations, globally, to ensure a successful execution on flawless new product introduction, current production deliveries as well as understanding of future business.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Business or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience with 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of an electro/mechanical manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
  • Knowledge and application of continuous improvement principles including lean, six sigma, 8D, DFM, Kaizen events
  • Ability to understand the complete supply chain and resolve issues in any area. Reviews demand planning with wider SCM team identifies required changes, drives solutions and any necessary escalations with the customer as needed.
  • Strong knowledge in all areas of import/ export, regulatory and logistics management
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally
  • Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of managers and employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to maintain external contacts with consultants, association and other companies for benchmarking and networking.
  • Able to work effectively cross- functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives.
  • Regular travel will be required (20%)
