Tax Manager (Remote)

Our client is part of a growing software company and is looking to add a Tax Manager to their team. As the Tax Manager, you will be an integral part of the company tax department and will have the opportunity to work on value added projects including M&A and international tax planning.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax and Compliance, you will be working with a team to ensure their Canadian Corporate taxation processes are adhering to industry best practices and compliance.Responsibilities and duties of the Tax Manager is as follows:Preparation of Canadian federal and provincial corporate income tax returns, work-papers and related tax functions for the group, including cross-border tax compliance filingsPrepare tax accounting workbooks as part of our quarterly financial reporting processCommunicate with the Canada Revenue Agency and various provincial tax authorities in connection with audits, notices of assessment, and information requestsTake part in tax due diligence as it relates to our Canadian based acquisitionsAssist with integration of Canadian acquisitions and communicating with seller’s representativesResearching and advising on various Canadian corporate tax mattersVarious other Canadian corporate income tax special projectsRequirements5+ years of experience working within the Canadian tax function of a large corporation or a public accounting firmBachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or FinanceProfessional Designation CPAEnrollment / partial completion of the CPA In-depth Tax courseExperience with tax preparation software in connection with Canadian federal and provincial corporate income tax filings (Corporate TaxPrep)Exceptional organizational and time management skillsExcellent relations and ability to work with others in a remote team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and ExcelBilingualism is an assetIf you are already registered with The Mason Group, please contact your Recruiting Consultant directly with reference to job #18822.
