Our valued client, a large Oil & Gas client are seeking a Piping Designer on a long-term contract basis in Calgary, AB. Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Piping Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in PDS, equipment modelling, SPR, and Microstation 2D, along with a strong background in Detailed Engineering, particularly in generating ISOs.Key Responsibilities:Piping Design: Utilize PDS, equipment modelling, SPR, and Microstation 2D to design piping systems for various projects.Equipment Modelling: Create accurate models of equipment to ensure compatibility and efficiency within piping systems.SPR Utilization: Apply SPR (SmartPlant Review) software for comprehensive review and analysis of piping designs, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.Microstation 2D: Proficiently utilize Microstation 2D software for drafting and detailing of piping designs and related components.Detailed Engineering: Leverage extensive experience in Detailed Engineering to produce high-quality deliverables, with a focus on generating ISOs (Isometric Drawings) that accurately represent piping configurations and specifications.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project objectives, specifications, and deadlines.Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and checks of designs to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and optimization of piping systems.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.Proven experience as a Piping Designer, with expertise in PDS, equipment modelling, SPR, and Microstation 2D.Strong background in Detailed Engineering, with a focus on generating ISOs.Proficiency in interpreting and implementing project specifications, codes, and standards.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing design challenges.Familiarity with industry software and tools relevant to piping design and engineering.
