Our team is dedicated, innovative, and driven with a passion for research excellence.Reporting to the Vice President of Commercialization, and working closely with the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will be working on-site, at our Toronto office - primarily in the medical cannabis division (MyMedi.ca) and will be responsible for sourcing of medical cannabis products within their assigned portfolio. With the Procurement Manager, the Coordinator will work with internal cross functional teams including operations, finance, external suppliers and other stakeholders as required. The Procurement Coordinator will develop an expertise in cannabis and cannabis derived products, and will perform all necessary activities to ensure an uninterrupted supply of cannabis products to meet MyMedi.ca demand. ON-SITE, TORONTOResponsibilities:· Effective onboarding and maintenance of Suppliers and Master Data· Forecasting and ordering of medical cannabis products by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends· Assisting the Procurement Manager with maintaining proper inventory levels of medical cannabis and cannabis accessories· Work with operations management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered, short-ships or missing products· Creation of any required purchase orders under guidance of Procurement Manager· Verifying receipt of items and resolving any shipment errors directly with suppliers· Keeping vendors / product information accessible by sorting and filing documents· Work with quality assurance (QA) department to ensure that all incoming products are meeting quality requirements defined by Health Canada and internal processes and act as liaison between QA and vendors to resolve any issues· Maintenance and reporting of supplier dashboards and KPIs· Delivering weekly reports to management showing trends and highlighting any issues requiring escalation· Working with marketing counterparts to ensure all products on the website have correct master data set-up· Supporting payment of all supplier invoices· Identify nonconformities or potential nonconformities within the Ample Organics system and escalate as appropriate· Providing ad-hoc reports as required· Practicing principles of GMP as they relate to their responsibilities· Responsible for adhering to all Health Canada operational and procurement under the Cannabis Act· Understand federal and provincial cannabis regulations and keep abreast of any changes that may affect the business· Identify corrective and preventive actions as well as opportunities for improvement· Other duties as neededReporting Requirements:· Development, maintenance and reporting of operational dashboards and KPIs· Procurement reporting and analysis of management information· Responsible for the monitoring and updates to website pricing after gaining necessary approvals· Responsible for ensuring that the data required for all necessary Health Canada reports are provided in a timely and accurate manner· Follow cannabis pricing trends and forecasts and adjust pricing accordinglySkills, Experience & EducationSkills■ 2-4 years of business management and project management experience in operations, logistics or workflow analysis considered an asset■ Post-Secondary education in a relevant field required■ Experience in the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset■ Strong abilities in project management and prioritization of objectives■ Must be passionate, demonstrate ownership and accountability, and have good track record of demonstrating initiative to achieve goals■ Must be data driven and strong with numbers for supply-demand forecasting, pricing forecasting and cost of goods analyses■ Must be very strong in Excel analysis■ Experience with ERP systems considered an asset■ Ability to coordinate and liaise with cross-functional departments to achieve business goals■ Ability to manage external relationships to build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers ■ Demonstrated problem solving skills, combined with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills■ Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with ambitious schedules and plans.■ Must be highly skilled at Microsoft Office applicationsThe job description is representative of typical duties and responsibilities for the position and it is not all inclusive.
