Title SR. COUNSEL (PROJECTS)

Primary Purpose of Job To provide legal support for QatarEnergy's Projects, covering support to Projects & Engineering (VP), Surface Development (VS) and Ventures (VC) on construction projects as well as other business activities including drafting & negotiation of all relevant project agreements, developing new templates, managing and improving ways of working, building competence and managing claims.

Education 1. Juris Doctorate, Bachelors of Law or equivalent from recognized University, preferably post graduations studies or master degree of law;

Experience & Skills 2. Civil law background is preferred but it is not mandatory; additional common law background/experience is advantageous in particular drafting of contracts 3. Excellent legal drafting and writing skills in English; 4. At least 12 years of legal and contracts experience including most of the practice areas listed in the principal accountabilities above; 5. Must have experience with the construction in upstream and downstream oil and gas industry including sufficient understanding Joint Venture agreements and project financing requirements; 6. Experience in the engineering and construction industries is advantageous as is experience with solar, wind and renewables; 7. Experience with leases would be a plus 8. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of tools.
